Abbas' Food Pyramid Report

                                                      The Food Pyramid



The food pyramid is a pyramid that contains all the food groups.

People should eat everything from the food pyramid apart from the fats and oils because it is unhealthy.


Proteins are a group of food in the food pyramid. Proteins provide energy really fast and get used up fast as well. Proteins are needed 5\6 servings a day because you need the protein. Proteins are foods like meat and beans.


Carbohydrates are foods that stay in peoples body and releases energy very very slowly. Bread and cereal is a carbohydrate which means people should eat them regularly but don’t eat white bread because it is high in sugar.


Fruits and vegetables are very healthy and people should eat ⅚ servings a day. Vegetables are good for peoples body because some vegetables have lots of fiber and are good for parts of everyone's body.


Water is a another group in the food pyramid that is very important and very healthy because it keeps everyone hydrated and everyone's body constantly needs water.  Adults need 8 glasses and kids need 5 glasses.
I liked learning about junk food and I am going to use my learning and eat healthier.
